My Meditation Journey

Welcome to ENRGI! A brand founded on spiritual principles and a core belief that our ENRGI has the power to transform our entire lives. One of you all asked a very important question recently-"Which personal practice has impacted your life the most?" — I've realized that meditation is the practice that has truly allowed me to expand and transform more than I could have ever imagined. I wanted to share more about my meditation journey, how it began, and why I feel it is the most transformational practice you can add into your life. I share my journey with the intention of encouraging and motivating you to try meditation to enhance and shift your Enrgi.

I want to preface my meditation journey by saying that before I started to meditate, I was an avid yogi and yoga instructor. After years of running and hot yoga being my form of meditation, I decided it was time to try actual seated meditation. I had listened to enough spiritual junkies talk about meditation and I finally gave in. I was not someone who thought they could sit still, but God knows I needed it more than I could have ever imagined. Our mind tricks us into thinking we can’t do things, but we always can. And so the journey began.

 

My meditation practice began in 2021 amidst a search for happiness, fulfillment, and a longing for creating a life beyond my wildest dreams. I stumbled upon Boho Beautiful 5-minute meditations on YouTube and found, for the first time, a stillness that quieted my once racing thoughts. This stillness opened the doors to an immense level of self-awareness and a newfound ability to let go of limiting beliefs that had anchored me down. For the first time ever, I felt a deep inner knowing that everything I was searching for was right within me. The deep awareness laid down a clear path towards healing and happiness I knew I was ready to act on.

As my meditation deepened, so did my clarity in the path ahead. I saw with fresh eyes the aspects of my life that no longer resonated with who I aspired to be. This revelation led to life-altering decisions — a bold move to Austin, recognizing my soulmate in my boyfriend, and the birth of ENRGI. Meditation isn’t just a practice; it’s been a transformational space where my energy, mindset, and vision for life has undergone great change. Although, the change hasn’t been all positive, the things I once attached myself to no longer hold any power of me. A true letting go and shedding of any attachment to outside ideas and versions of myself that are no longer in alignment with who I want to become.

My practice has grown over the last few years, but one thing remains constant: the deep inner knowing that all the answers are within. A practice that started with five minutes a day and quickly jumped up to an hour each day during the thick of my life’s trails and tribulations. I now try to aim for 20 minutes per day. I typically meditate right when I wake up to set the tone for the entire day. I use different meditations each time and will add in breathwork when I feel like I need to go deeper. I will list some of my favorite meditations for you below.

As I close out this post, I want this to be an inspiration to you to try something new. Everything I have created in my life is because of meditation. My business, leaving the corporate world and my relationship with Mitch. Everything is possible, now it’s time for you to tap into the Enrgi and receive it. I challenge you to create the time and space to go within. Every solution can be found in complete stillness.

 

PS. As I have challenged you to take the leap into meditating, I want to remind you that it will show up differently for each and every one of you. Whether it’s the meditations I have listed, or maybe sitting in complete silence there is no right or wrong answer. Allow yourself to go towards where you feel called without judgement. You never know what works until you try!
